Live video link connects Imam Reza Shrine with 40 Islamic centers worldwide
The director of Non‑Iranian Pilgrims’ Affairs Office at Astan Qods Razavi says a new digital initiative now provides nonstop live connections between Imam Reza Shrine and Islamic centers across 40 countries.

Mehdi Lesani, director of Non‑Iranian Pilgrims’ Affairs Office at Astan Qods Razavi, announced the launch of a new program enabling direct and live communication with Islamic centers outside Iran.
“The initiative is part of the “Razavi Lifestyle” project, designed to maintain engagement with international pilgrims both during and after their visit to Imam Reza Shrine”, he said.
He added: “This is the first time such a program has been implemented at Imam Reza Shrine. The initiative aims to sustain communication with Islamic communities abroad through virtual platforms, ensuring that the connection established during pilgrimage continues after visitors return to their home countries”.
The official continued: “The program has so far connected with Islamic centers in 40 countries across 50 geographic locations and in 14 languages. These centers receive video‑based programming from the shrine, including religious sermons, recitations of supplications, and supplication readings”.
Lesani noted that the services are specifically tailored for mosques and hussainiyahs. “During religious occasions, these centers access a direct live video feed from the shrine through YouTube and Aparat platforms, enabling real‑time visual connection with Imam Reza Shrine”.
“The information gathered from these interactions is used to improve cultural and religious services for non‑Iranian pilgrims”, he said.
According to the director, long‑term goal of the project is to preserve and strengthen ties with Islamic centers abroad through digital communication.
He described the initiative as an important step in promoting Imam Reza’s culture and introducing Imam Reza Shrine to Muslim communities worldwide.
